Today is National Fruitcake Day!
27-Dec-11My Grandma used to make Fruitcakes. She would make them in early fall and then age them with good whiskey for 2 months. I have that recipe! From that recipe, I replaced all fruits with golden raisins and then age with good rum! I should try to make them next year, probably for the last time. I need to make sure I pass on the recipe too. Today I am making cupcakes! It’s my grandson’s birthday and he WANTS CUPCAKES!!

Dr. Fuhrman’s Yummy Banana Oat Bars

Just a small change I made to your recipe.
2 bananas mashed
1/2 c shredded coconut
1/2 c ground walnut (freshly grounded)
1 c shredded granny smith apple
2.5 c quick cook oatmeal
1/2 c dates
mix well press into pan, bake 350 for 30 min
here is my variation… I used shredded apple instead of applesauce as in the original recipe, add more coconut, proccessed walnut in food processor a few times, I also tried and liked old fashioned oatmeal proccessed a few times in food processor as well. (process each ingredient separately, put in a bowl and then mix well)

Hey I gotta save pennies for RID Region V Conference HI Trip so I’ll deposit it. Oh yes another ironic thing is that I have to deposit before December 22. I mean I only just got the check the other day! I sure as hell aint gonna hurry up and drive to the bank to deposit the check! I mean it would cost me about 5 bucks just to drive to the bank. Oh yes I can mail the check.

05-Dec-11Never bought font before but I bought this cool looking font from MyFont.com. Was going to use it on my website. New Look and all but the font was not as advertised. Thick and heavy looking instead of thin and whimsy. I wrote and complained. I admit I wasnt exactly very nice. I guess I was frustrated. Online purchases while convienent can be quite a hassle when you run into problems. I was thinking I am on a useless persue. They responded, investigated and *even* agreed! And today I see credit in my account! I must say this made my usually blue Monday! Thank you MyFont.com you rock!
